About Us
We are driven by our mission to cultivate a unique and nourishing food system for innovation, economic development, and agricultural growth in our territory.
Virgin Islands Good Food holds a vital role in the USVI community, working to bridge the gap between consumers, government, and private industry to facilitate long-term change and strengthen the USVI food system. Our work provides strategies and solutions to assist local farmers with increasing food production, building agro-business infrastructure, and accessing new markets - all with the focus of putting more local and healthy produce in the hands of Virgin Islanders.
Established in 2012 as a project of the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development, Virgin Islands Good Food became a federally-recognized and independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2024.
Our work focuses on market creation and access, education outreach, technical assistance and services for farmers, data collection and assessment, market capital, emergency support and regranting, and advocacy.
